Now I'm a Guster fan
"I typically like my music a little on the darker side and not nearly as pop-py(my favorites are Tool, Nine Inch Nails, and Bad Religion in no particular order). So for the record, I was not a Guster fan (at all really) before I saw this show. I went because they are my girlfriend's favorite band. But, I am also a lover of all good music. By good music I mean, talented musicians, symbolic/intelligent lyrics, and an original creative sound. Guster, has all of those elements in place with abundance. They came out for two encores including an acoustic version of one of their songs(don't know what it was but it was good) with 1700 people quietly singing along. From beginning to end(including the opening band, Jukebox the Ghost) I could not keep my foot from tapping or a smile from of my face. From banjos to ballads to bubble gum pop to straight up rock with a punk intensity, they had a varied set and were full of energy. So you can easily tell that a band like Dragonforce would not normally be on my radar. This concert alone has now made me a huge Guster fan and my girlfriend couldn't be happier about it."
